Te Puritanga coordinated the new Māori economic development strategy for Wellington Region – Te Matarau a Māui: Collaborative Pathways to Prosperous Māori Outcomes

With experience in local, regional and national Māori economic development, both strategic and operational, Te Puritanga is dedicated to realising positive change for Māori.

She has previously worked as; a consultant for Glenn Hawkins and Associates; coordinator for the Bay of Plenty Māori economic development group He Mauri Ohooho (now Toi Kai Rawa); project coordinator for the Māori Economic Development Unit at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE); and Principal Advisor at Wellington City Council. 

Te Puritanga will be working across the diverse components and communities of the Māori economy in Te Upoko o Te Ika to progress mutual outcomes aligned with the strategy.
