Celebrating Māori Enterprise
Tipu Pakihi is Te Matarau's Māori Economic Summit, designed to bring together entrepreneurs, rangatahi, iwi representatives, business leaders, and interested agencies from across Te Ūpoko o Te Ika. It's a space built for connection — where Māori in business can share ideas, build connections, and find the people and resources they need to grow.
Each summit focuses on what actually moves the needle for Māori business: entrepreneurship, upskilling, innovation, and regional economic development. Past events have drawn over 160 attendees and featured speakers from across the Māori business ecosystem, from finance and technology to tourism and the creative economy.

We are currently planning the next Tipu Pakihi summit for 2026, working alongside our Māori Business Network partners and a growing group of supporters from across the region.
